Life: Feeling passion.. for anything
Passion and satisfaction go hand in hand. Without them, happiness is temporary. Passion fills the void and the tedious moments in life. Without a passion, you lack true feeling. I need to find this passion. I know there are many things in life that catches your eye, but few things truly capture your heart, I need to pursue those.

Celeb: Oscars

Sandra Bullock gave the most unforgettable Oscar acceptance speech ever. She was so gracious, she acknowledged her colleagues, she thanked all the mothers out there, she did not make it all about herself.
It was hers to lose. You see the silent, strong support she gets from Jesse James and she thanks him every chance she gets. She has paid her dues in Hollywood for more than 20 years now. She has earned it.
Asked where she would put the Oscar and the Razzie, Bullock replied, "They'll sit side-by-side on a shelf somewhere, the Razzie maybe on a different shelf, lower."

Celeb: Michael Phelps can't tell us apart?

Dear Michael Phelps,
All Asian girls do not look alike.
Thanks for assuming we do.
Sincerely,
Asian girl

OMG. I thought he dated an Asian girl before (Remember that Vegas cocktail waitress) photos here, so he has had exposure to "our kind" before. Maybe they were too busy with other activities and never got around to discussing her ethnicity or notice how her face differentiates from another Asian girl.
So on CTV Olympic Morning last week, Jessi and Dan dared Lainey to give Michael Phelps a kiss at an Omega party. Then Scott Lago (American snowboarder who won Bronze) gets caught with pictures of him and an Asian chick putting his bronze medal in her mouth Click here. He volunteers to leave the Olympics, gets home and appears on Jimmy Kimmel..
Watch it all explained here.
Now some Americans out there think Lainey is the reason Scott Lago was sent home from the Olympics.
I don't know why I feel so strongly about this, maybe because I have tried my whole life not to look like the typical Asian girl with long, straight black hair and brown eyes. It seems done in vain.
Stop spreading rumours Michael Phelps, it only shows us signs of your ignorance!

Olympics: Good friends or gold medals?
Would Shaun White be as amazing as he is if he made friends with other boarders and trained with them?
In his piece on 60 minutes, a quote was read to him about how the other snowboarders felt sad for him because he was alone at the top and trained alone. And although they are not number 1, they have the support of the other boarders around them at all times. At that point. I came to realize that in addition to the financial and physical life sacrifices one has to make to be at the top of their game, they also have to give up something emotional.
Scott Lago put together one of the best runs of his life to win the surprise bronze on a night still overshadowed by Shaun White and his gold-medal performance. I'm sure it is frustrating and hard to be friends with someone who dominates the sport you love and shows no signs of ever sharing the top spot with anyone.
Therefore I have come to the conclusion that Shaun White would not be as amazing as he is if he made it a priority to be friends with other snowboarders, train with them, show them his tricks and share his top-secret training facility.

Its lonely at the top, but at least you have the security of gold and the love of strangers all over the world.

News: Jaycee Dugard
how does one person create so much mind control, dependency and blind obedience over another to allow them to remain a sexual prisoner for 18 years in a backyard?
Jaycee Dugard, the California woman who was kidnapped as a child and held as a sexual prisoner for 18 years, both feared and felt protective of the man charged with holding her.
She actually felt bad for hurting him. I cannot fathom how you can feel that way towards someone who was harming you the way he was.
